Happy New Year 2012!!!

This year's new year countdown was kinda sad... We were both on our way home from South Africa and was probably somewhere around the indian ocean... So all we had was a notice on the on screen display where we get to watch movies on that said "It is now midnight in Kuala Lumpur. Happy New Year!"... And that was it... How sad... So to end this post... This year's new year's resolution is to make no new year's resolution! Yay! Let's see if this approach works... Apparently this is one way of trying to reverse psycho myself. Ok... That's all... Happy New Year!!!

Random Thoughts...

Hmm I actually kinda like this new Blogger Dynamic Views. But I can't attach gadgets to it yet... soooo tempted to revert back to the classic view where you can put whatever rubbish around your blog posts. Ah well... Better not. Tomorrow is Diwali... Holiday yeay! Wish mummy was here and we can cook rice and curry *imitate Azmarea here* for lunch... Not sure what I plan to do tomorrow... Maybe work... ergh... maybe not... Oh that reminds me... Mental Note: Book flight for trip back home during Hari Raya Haji holiday weekend. Ok enough randomness just to fill pages...

I just realised that...

I have not updated anything about what I'm up to. I'm now no longer working for Stansfield College as their Software Engineer. I'm still in Singapore though. Doing something I kinda enjoy compared to when I was at Stansfield. Web Applications Development. Yay for me! Unfortunately, I still feel that I am underpaid and overworked. Gonna stick around for a bit before I start looking for something that can actually make me say... I'm doing what I love and get paid well for it! I miss Cubinet... but then again... I hear so many people left Cubinet... so sad... =P That's all for today... Write bit by bit... hopefully I'll update more... Wheeeeee...

Hi there, remember me?

Yeah... I know it has been eons since I last updated my blog. I know in my New Year's Resolutions states that I will blog more. I guess I'm not good at keeping Resolutions. Ah well... So... What brings me here? Writing out of the blue... I was actually browsing around blogger and thought that I should really blog again. Then I came across the new blogger interface and thought "Oh No... Aunty Ann is going to freak when she sees how different the interface is now" and also thinking about Aunty Jim asking me to teach her on how to start a blog... This is going to be difficult. Other than that? Nothing much. Just thought I write something now... and try to push myself to write more. Not sure if I still have readers but this is supposed to be my space to write my thoughts so... bleh... Will write more... Will write more... Will write more...

I hate this feeling...

... of being stuck! A monkey should not feel stuck... She should feel the freedom of having to jump from one branch to another... Curiously playing around in dangerous areas... Cheekily pulling the tail of tiger cubs... Happily lazing around the sun and snacking on juicy bananas... hahahaha... Yes... I'm at the utmost point of boredom and there isn't any cardboard boxes to create arsenals with. I don't even have my own PC at work to do anything with... Just a blank PC with MS Office and IE... The horror... How could anyone survive with just the basics installed on their computers... Ah well... It shouldn't be long now I guess... Till then... I'm super duper ultimate bored...

Happy New Year!!! Goodbye 2010...

Another year has passed... how time flies it's amazing. I'm older... that sucks... I'm thinking of limiting the exposure of my blog by stopping the imports from facebook. At least I won't feel the limitations of what I might write or post in here anymore. I used to not care. But looking at how crazy and damaging facebook can be, I guess its better. Only those who know me well enough might end up here and read what I have to say out of boredom or curiosity. *hahahaha* So that's my first thing to do for 2011! So now it is time for some reflections... Let's see... The biggest change in my life in 2010 was my environment. A huge change I must say. From the comforts of having the perfect job in the world at Cubinet, I am now in Singapore. Strange people, strange environment, strange job. I feel like an alien exploring another planet sometimes. But nevertheless, I have made some really good friends, be closer than ever to the one I love but with a huge price to pay...

Lazy Sunday…

There isn’t really much to write today… Just a few accounts of what I’d like to share… Yesterday the people at the office gave us all an ‘off’ day… Celebrating some sort of achievement… So what did we do? Liah planned some sort of photo shoot that involved watercolour in a public park… *Hahaha… Liah is a photographer and thought that taking photos of a couple and some kids with their mum sounded like a great idea… So we became one of the victims!* We were told to dress in white… So Wilson and I went to the new NEX MALL just 10 minutes from our house to find some cheap white shirts to wear *obviously watercolour did not seem to sound clean* … We thought of walking around the new mall but it seemed as though we only managed to view 1% of the whole place! It’s super huge! Anyways… getting our shirts from Giordano at 7 dollars a piece and grabbing lunch at the Broasters Chicken or something… we then made our way to the scene… I will share more of this with you when the pictures are done! ...

Thank you Mummy, Aunty Su & Fazreen!

Last weekend was quite a hectic one… It started early when I woke up light-headed and dizzy on Friday and found myself with high blood pressure… 150/100… The doc gave me 2 days MC to rest up and bring it down not before scolding me. *sheesh* I’m supposed to come back and see him to check it again… *bleh…* Mummy, Aunty Su and Fazreen drove down from KL on Thursday to visit our new home for the weekend and bring down more my stuff… We had a fun dinner at East Coast Food Village with Istinah and Hans… Chicken Wings, Kerang and Sambal Stingray! Yum!!! So the whole of Friday… Mummy and Fazreen went off for a meeting while Aunty Su went shopping… I spent the whole day lazing around and resting while trying to clear up the mess we made unloading the car which was filled with a quarter of my room back in KL. Mostly beddings, scrap stuff and electronics… I got my Taylor, TV and Wii!!! Yeay! The night itself Sayang came and went to treat us good Japanese BBQ Wagyu dinner… Thank you Sayang!...

Double Date with Husband & Wife! Haha…

Looks like I’ll be writing more on this blog… Seems like I have the knack of writing more when I’m in a comfy zone… *My new home! Woohoo!* Maybe it’s because I’m more bored… We’ll see hehe… Yesterday Istinah and I were literally watching the clock as time passes while we were at work… Not because there’s no work… But both of us were excited about our nicely planned outing for the night! *hahaha* … It wasn’t anything much of a plan… Just a nice night of super good food and a movie… As the clock struck 7pm on the dot… Hans and Istinah made her way to pick me up from work to get ourselves a generous takeaway of “Tulang Kambing” (mutton bones) and “Air Tebu” (sugarcane drink). Wilson was already on his way home as I asked him to get us a loaf of white bread… *Istinah and I had an argument on what is loaf in malay… sebantal vs sebuku… google says both is correct… cheh! hahaha* Once we were all back home… we feasted on the best ever tulang kambing I have ever had! It was kinda weird for ...

Our first home…

For the past few weeks we have been trying to find a good place to rent to call home *Yes… staying in the hostel is seriously no picnic… I can’t even fall sick and take MC in peace without having someone knocking on my door just to check if I’m really sick!* . Istinah *my wife* stumbled across some paper with numbers on it and words “Room/Units for Rent” or something like that on her way to work at SIC… tore a piece and gave me the number via MSN… I then passed the number to Wilson *my husband* who then called and made a bunch of arrangements for viewing, after having agents quarrelling with one another… viola! We finally found the perfect home! The place is located quite conveniently near amenities (hawkers, 7-11, a couple of mini marts, a few sensei shops, alot of hair salons, a massage parlour *i have a feeling there are alot of tai-tais living around here… haha* and a nice little restaurant) right downstairs, about 4 minutes walk to Lorong Chuan MRT, about 10 minutes walk to S...

What’s this? This kinda looks interesting. Hmm…

New Beginnings...

Today marks my 5th day in Singapore. Most of my time were spent settling down and learning about my new job. Quite a boring thing actually for now. Hoping that it will pick up soon. First 2 days of work was quite a drag. Not having a PC to work with kinda sucks. Too bad they didn't have unwanted cardboard boxes like how they did at Cubinet or else I would have started on a cardboard arsenal of weapons hahaha! Yes... That's what I did for the first 3 days at Cubinet. A cardboard glock revolver and a cardboard knife. All nicely handrawn and cut out. *Never leave a monkey idle without a PC!* As for now... I'm learning a few things like... I should always carry an umbrella... To stand to the left on the escalators... bla bla bla... Feels abit like London... less wet but still wet and without my akak! Ah well... That's all for now... Jason... Yam Char!!! Mummy... I miss you... Love you...

We're not safe anymore...

Yes Mr. Malaysian Policemen... You are human... We are all human... But... You have a gun... We do not have a gun... Bad guys might have guns... You should make sure a bad guy is really a bad guy and is a life-threatening bad guy before you draw arms and shoot. You should not be above the laws you protect and certainly do not have the license to kill... James Bond might have but he's a fictional character... For those of you who don't agree... you might one day have 14 year old kids and understand that you will never know what your kid is up to... My mummy HATED me when i turned 14... I did things then that my mummy do not know of even to this day... But I grew up and turned out alright... Some might have got caught... Some are lucky like me... But nothing gives you the right to take a human life. We have laws to punish those who deserve it... You're not a sheriff in a cowboy state. Thank you Mr. Good Policemen for keeping us safe... But your Bad Colleagues are making y...

Ressurection?

Okay, okay... I know its been awhile since my last entry. Some friends mentioned that I have probably died since I ate at Alexis. *Hahaha... funny* Alot has happened since actually... A year worth of happenings... Well almost. I just can't seem to be able to sit down and write for some reason. Maybe I'm just lazy... I guess for now... I have no excuse but to ressurect my blog life. So consider this as it. =P

Alexis @ Gardens... SUCKS!

Image
It was all JCard day's fault. We all wanted to avoid the crowd at Midvalley during lunch time yesterday so we decided to try out Alexis at the Gardens side. The service was not too bad at the beginning where we were kindly asked to sit while we wait for our table. But then again, that's typical. Nic, Ernie and Ben had set lunch 2 which was a 3 course meal consisting of tomato soup as starter *which probably was just a bottle of tomato ketchup plunked right into a bowl* , a tomato based pasta puttanesca with olives, capers and anchovies *no sign of anchovies and it was probably quite hard to swallow those olives because we were daring each other to eat them* and supposedly the dessert of the day. Endric on the other hand had the set lunch 1 which was Fishcakes for starters *this was not bad* , Nasi Kerabu with Spicy squid *it was like 3 little cuts of a single squid actually* , 2 tiny little prawns cooked in spices, untouched mango acar thingy, and some keropok. *Endric wa...

IN LOVING MEMORY - AVALANCHE

My beloved cat passed away peacefully in my mother's arms this evening. It was a tough call but she was suffering and in constant pain that the Vet advised us to put her to sleep. At 6pm today, she died at the age of 16. Avalanche was born with 3 other siblings - Snowball, Chubby and Zazu. Her mum was Cleopatra, daughter of my beloved Cookie Chomper a grey coloured mixed persian + siamese and Mischeif - my sister's cat who was a black and white Maine Coon. Yes, Cleopatra was quite the slut back then as this litter of kittens seem to have had 2 different fathers. I was 13 when Avalanche was born, she was named because she caused an avalanche of CDs, toys and books which were nicely stacked on my sister's table while she was still an unnamed kitten. She used to sleep on my back while I was busy preparing for my PMR (Secondary 3) exams. When I became too engrossed in my book, she would sit on the pages and demanded for some attention. For those who knew, PMR year was a bad yea...
