Rojak Anyone?

Before you read this... Please read the disclaimer at the bottom of this post. Thank you... *LOL* Couldn't sleep... So what could I do this late/early in the morning while I wait for the time to have my "sahur"? Surf... Here I was reading the news on The Star Online, surfing around when I came across blog posts from someone who looks to me like a chinese who married an indian. Reading his posts has got me thinking... I grew up with a "racist" dad... Well... not exactly... we're not racist... all of us in our family grew up having non-malay best friends *due to the fact that we were forced NOT to speak malay at home and therefore are more fluent in english... (My SPM / O lvls equivalent Results - English A1; Malay C6) this made us the "arrogant malays" in goverment primary schools and our malay friends were like avoiding us.* My sis had Dhalita as her "Legendary Best Friend" in Secondary... and me being a "social butterfly" as ...

Fasting Month Is Here Again... Doo Daa... Doo Daa!

Image
Yeay! My favourite month of the year is here! What I love about it? Well... Yummy selection of foods to choose from... A month to forgive and repent... The chore of "What should I eat today?" is downsized to 1 instead of 3... *lol* Many more reasons actually... but can't think of more at the moment because its too early... *hehehe* So... The first day of fasting... couldn't really sleep... was abit excited maybe... managed to get some shut eye around 3am... Mummy brought me back the famous "ayam boblek" from Jogyakarta for sahur *last meal of the day... which is supposed to last the whole day till sunset... but who can eat much so early in the morning?* ... Due to the fact that I overslept during the last first day of fasting... I set my phone alarm to ring not once... but 3 times!!! *hahahaha* ... First ring went off at 4.30am *snooze* ... 4.38am... *snooze* ... 4.46am... *disable alarm* ... Second alarm went off at 5am *snooze* ... And the phone rang at 5...

Mercy Malaysia Annual Fundraising Dinner 2006

Last night was Mercy Malaysia 's Annual Fundraising Dinner. Mummy, Halimy, Bobby, his wife, Ellen, Nazrin, Jennifer, Lee John, his girlfriend and I filled a table purchased by Selatan this year. *if it wasn't for my dear Auntie Jim, knowing me, I would have avoided such events due to the fact that its dress code being formal hehehehe* Dressing up for the event, I finally got to wear my white kaftan looking baju kurung which was made for last two year's Eid *LOL* . Put on some earrings, 1 minute make up and heels *all of which I dread wearing for any purpose* and off we went to KLCC Convention Center *6:45pm* . Arriving the reception *7:45pm* , mummy didn't bring the tickets, but all she had to do was say that she's Auntie Jim's sister and we know our table number which was 44. She also mentioned to the reception saying that the table is for her family members and that any mat salleh looking chap or his indian looking girlfriend or any chinese looking person wer...

Jason is a friend I met on RO *its amazing how most of the great people I have met are through the internet* whom I look up to as my "chinese brother" currently residing in Singapore... I haven't heard from him since Adelynn went into labour and he hasn't been getting much sleep for the past 5 days *due to little Jaimee's nocturnal attributes inherited from her daddy... ^^grin* I finally managed to catch him for a brief moment online to harass him for some photos! Name: Jaimee Yeoh LiuXiang Birthdate: 16th August 2006 Weight: A little over 3kg *poor mum... adelene rox!* For those of you who knows Jason... Please welcome Mini Jason Girl Version 1.0 *doesn't she look alot like him? hihihihi* I think she is so kawaii to the point where its really hard to resist not pinching those chubby cheeks!!! Can't wait to meet her in person... Hope you get better soon and disturb more of your daddy's sleep!...

Yet another update...

Hmm... after re-reading my last post I just noticed how fugly the colour combination was... Please forgive me as I was only using one eye and the effects of the general anaesthetics were clouding my judgement on colours thus making me truly colourblind... Enough of that... I have now the full use of both my eyes... *yeay!* Well... almost at least... Its no longer drifting of to one side as you would usually see me do... *apek... too bad hor... cannot make fun of me anymore* And you won't ever have to question again whether I am talking to you or to whatever my other eye was looking at! *hahahaha...* One drawback though... whenever I see anything on my right without moving my head... I see double... *yikes* Now what truly brings me to blog today? Yesterday was the end of my "Beginners Mandarin Conversation" course... We had a test of course... The test consisted of 2 parts... Part 1 is written test of 35 questions... each question is worth 2 marks... Part 2 is an oral t...

Halimy came late... mummy got upset... so we went ahead first... *my mum probably abit more anxious than I am to get it over and done with* My mum selamba jer parked at my aunt's parking space... and up we went to register... Okay... so sorry long time never post... hehehe... Actually nothing much has happened since the last entry... Let's see what have I done for the past week... last, last weekend Wesak day i think... I spent some time with Azrina K. and Fazreen F... Well... how do I ignore 15 missed calls? hehe... Sorry girls... They showed up at my door and dragged me out for lunch at T.G.I.F., talked for hours about life and relationships and had a karaoke session at the Curve... That following Sunday mummy wanted to watch a movie so we went to 1Utama to watch Poseidon... Last weekend mummy wanted to watch Da Vinci Code...
