Alexis @ Gardens... SUCKS!
It was all JCard day's fault. We all wanted to avoid the crowd at Midvalley during lunch time yesterday so we decided to try out Alexis at the Gardens side. The service was not too bad at the beginning where we were kindly asked to sit while we wait for our table. But then again, that's typical.
Nic, Ernie and Ben had set lunch 2 which was a 3 course meal consisting of tomato soup as starter *which probably was just a bottle of tomato ketchup plunked right into a bowl*, a tomato based pasta puttanesca with olives, capers and anchovies *no sign of anchovies and it was probably quite hard to swallow those olives because we were daring each other to eat them* and supposedly the dessert of the day.
Endric on the other hand had the set lunch 1 which was Fishcakes for starters *this was not bad*, Nasi Kerabu with Spicy squid *it was like 3 little cuts of a single squid actually*, 2 tiny little prawns cooked in spices, untouched mango acar thingy, and some keropok. *Endric was going like... can I have a bowl of sambal please? The dish was just too dry and tasteless*. For dessert he was supposed to have Banana Butterscotch Cake or something like that...
Ivan had the Beef Lasagne... As he was making his normal disgusted face and making comments about how its like eating cardboard... Its obviously horrid.
As for me, I had the Grilled Sirloin Steak Sandwich with Rocket salad. The cut was good although it was badly marinated. *Come on! How hard is it to put salt and pepper?!* Its just sad to let good beef go to waste like this...
When it was time for their desserts, those who had set 2 got theirs and the waitress who was holding another plate of the same dessert was waving it around and looking at our table. I thought since it was the same cake, it could be a mistake of the type of dessert so I continued watching her as she brought it back to the kitchen. So while the rest didn't start on their desserts because 1... they had no dessert forks, 2... its just not nice to start when not everyone have got theirs. After about 10 minutes or so... I got so annoyed that I called up the waiter *which took another 5 minutes* for Endric's dessert, and the same dessert came back as his. I was like... WTF Man!
All in all... The FOOD SUCKS! The SERVICE SUCKS even MORE! If I were some of you, I'd stop pretending to be some kind of a yuppie that goes around "I'm wearing a suit so worship me..." and look as though you're having a meal of your life... *Oh please... go wear your suit and eat at Lafite in Shangri-la if you think you're so great... because obviously your taste in food sucks also! I'm saying this because I noticed at one point the table with people wearing suits had 2 waiters waiting on them*...
